Me describiría a mi mismo como I'm a freelance writer, novelist, and stay-at-home dad for my two beautiful daughters. I'm looking for someone to share interests and really connect with. To put it in an allegory: I'm looking for the girl who's going to go pick up the gun the bad guy dropped when I started fighting with him and help me out because I'm probably not strong enough to take him. Does that make any sense?
I'm a nerd at heart, I've got sort of an obscure sense of humor filled with movie quotes and comic-book references. I'm a huge bears fan, not paint my face and go shirtless in December at Soldier Field huge, but I will yell at my TV set on Sundays.
I'm really not looking to hit the bar scene. They can be fun, but somehow people tend to get into trouble at them and with two little girls at home who need me I don't think it's the right place to be.
As far as music goes I enjoy pretty much everything, but I lean towards metal/pop punk/emo. Conner Oberst is a genius and Portishead just hits the spot. Modern hip-hop, however, can go far away. It's just terrible.
I'm a gamer, L4D currently being the overall favorite and I get together with friends for Halo 3 Saturdays. WoW is also a must.
Book-wise I fought with my best friend's wife for months before finally giving in to reading the Twilight series. I hated every one of them until halfway through each and now consider it to be one of my favorite series.
When I have time to watch TV it's usually Adult Swim or anything with Gordon Ramsey, the guy's hilarious. I'm also big on anything Joss Whedon has a hand in. Talk about a great writer.
