I Would Describe Myself As Hey! My name is Alex. I think the most important thing you should know about me is that I don't like typing on my iPad, so I'll try not to run on for too long (though I'll probably be unsuccessful at that). I'm really easy-going and laid back, and I've got a lot of hobbies, all of which fall squarely into the liberal arts side of the spectrum. I've been playing the piano since I was eight (especially classical), and the guitar since I was eighteen (needed an easy way to impress college girls at parties... just kidding). I've been very passionate about art since I was a little kid as well, and ended up getting my college degree in studio art with an emphasis in works on paper, which is a fancy way of saying that I draw. For a living, I'm a goldsmith at my family's jewelry store, which I enjoy quite a lot. I'm actually currently talking with Jason Newsted of Metallica about making a jewelry line together (I did some custom work for him in the past). I'm also really into writing, and just finished my first full-length novel thats full of absurdist/bizarro themes which I'm working on getting published. Let's see, what else can I say... Pretty open-minded (my roommate even got me to do yoga with her). I'm a hugely into metal, especially mathcore, progressive, and power/fantasy, and I love cartoons, especially the weird ones on Adult Swim. I just started going to the gym, which I'm actually enjoying far more than I thought I would, and bought a bicycle so that I don't have to drive my car so often. I love going on adventures, whether that be getting drunk and going to q-zar, or just going on a walk or a bike ride. I'm looking for someone who hopefully isn't too high-strung, and is maybe interested in some of the same artsy stuff that I'm into, which is hard to find in Walnut Creek (lots of female douches out here who are only interested in how big your wallet is). Not really looking for a casual hookup, something more substantial. Let me know if you fit into that category!
