I wrote a story when I was 7 about a dog that NASA sends on a rocket trip. Shortly after take-off, the canine is sequestered by a group of cloud people. They all disappear into a sky lab where mysterious frequency experiments take place. Upon returning to earth, doggy learns he has acquired new super abilities which he'd have to keep under wraps so that government scientists won't notice. They'd likely want to dissect him for emulation purposes, putting his remains in glass jars & display cases while umming & aahhing as they'd stroke their non manicured beards.
