Ich würde mich selbst beschreiben als Librarian, loony lefty, musician, writer, mixed race, vegetarian (mostly vegan), eco-worrier, lapsed political activist and many other things besides, i'm a Londoner born and bred – would you Adam and Steve it?

I'm mostly into punk rock, politics, political satire, shouting at the news, despairing at the world, taking life too seriously, silently judging your grammar, reading far too many books... ALL THE BOOKS to be honest, but Ursula Le Guin is definitely my favourite (although others also figure highly) as well as zines and graphic novels (or comics, if you must), botany and those old-fashioned botanical diagrams done in watercolour.

I love butterflies, breakdancing (i'm crap and can't do it, but i love to watch it being done properly), Radio 4, museums and galleries, long walks, i enjoy the occasional bit of keeping fit (hmm, let that slide a bit recently, but i'm going to get back into it... tomorrow...), i'm in a riot grrrl band and a big gay choir, i talk too much (had you noticed?), i get unreasonably excited by things that seem to baffle other people, i like gardening, dogs, looking at and making stuff... what have i missed? Just ask!

I'm a bit shy and awkward (some might say socially inept... they are very rude) but i'm nice really; perhaps a bit highly-strung at times, certainly talk too much and have no shame when it comes to singing in the shower; just looking for love and companionship, like anyone else i suppose.

I'm not sure i have a 'type' as such, but i am into monogamy only and - let's be frank here - ultimately i'm looking to settle down and do The Long Term Thing, so i'm not interested in open relationships, nor anything casual. Sorry if that sounds a bit heavy-going for a dating profile, but hey ho, it's best to be upfront about these things early on and, well, i'm not getting any younger.

Also if you can explain art and films to me that'd be great... ahem.

Wonach suchst du? A woman also in her thirties, intelligent and kind, monogamous, vegetarian, alarmingly middle-aged sense of humour (i'd like to say highbrow, but...) who'll always understand my obscure and usually political jokes and metaphors without needing explanation... and who knows that a preposition is not something to end a sentence with. (Har! See what i did there?)

I'd like to meet other LGBT+ people who have similar beliefs and outlook (well, don't we all?) such as loony lefty politics, not eating animals (yes, fish are animals!), peace and quiet and not staying out all night (i'm far too old for that sort of thing these days) and stuff like that.

I like people who are blindingly intelligent and a little taller than me, if that helps. Northern Irish or Liverpudlian accents are... not essential, but a definite bonus.
