I Would Describe Myself As I started off raging against the system as a kid and have gone through life shedding personas like a snake sheds its skin. Hedonism to ascetism, apathy to militancy, drugs to straight-edge. Now I work in politics, working to help protect the environment. I dress straight, look well-behaved, do what I have to do to get the job done. It isn't me, but then again what is? I need to find a level that I'm comfortable with outside of the world I move through at the moment, with people who I can relate to as people, not as allies or enemies in an exhausting, never-ending campaign. People who understand intensity and spirit and fight and belief in a better way of life for everybody as an imperative, not an optional extra.

So yeah, that's me. Taking myself too seriously no doubt. But we only get one spin of the wheel and if life really is a humorous accident of quantum physics then we are our own Gods and our own monsters. And who is anybody and anything to keep us or our friends or neighbours from living free?

I also make an excellent tomato sauce for pasta and dance pretty well after a couple of drinks.
